Andhra Spicy Mutton Curry Recipe
Ingredients
Mutton - 2 lb
Onion - 1 (large)
Tomato - 1 (large)
Ginger & garlic paste - 2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
Yogurt - 2 tbls
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Cloves - 3
Cinnamon - 1 One inch stick
Cardamom - 1
Oil/Ghee - 4 tsp
salt
Method
Mutton Curry Cooking Procedure
1. Heat ghee/oil in a pressure cooker or a thick bottomed pan and add whole garam masala.
2. When it starts to cracle , add chopped onions and saute till light pink.
3. Add mutton pieces and cook on a medium flame,stirring constantly till lamb pieces
get a nice reddish brown colour. This may take 15 mins.
4. Add ginger&garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder and salt stir for 2 min continuously.
5. Add yogurt, tomatoes, garam masala powder and cook till oil leaves the masala.
6. Add 1 cup of water, put the pressure cooker lid and wait 4 to 5 whistles, or cover the pan and let it simmer
till meat pieces are tender.
7. After open the cooker lid cook on a low flame till the gravy thichens. 8 Garnish with coriander leaves.
